Beechmont Landcare has arranged an Information Night on Locally Native Plant Identification & Cultivation The night will cover the following:
- Identification of common local plants, including a list of useful books and internet information sources.
- What local native plants are suitable for various situations, eg. frost, wet, dry, shade, full sun.
- Tips for cultivation of common local plants, including protection against wallabies and hares.
In addition there will be a presentation on the WILD ABOUT MACADAMIAS project which is aiming to ensure the long-term conservation of the wild populations of Macadamias. The Information Night is on Monday 14 March 2011 from 7:30pm at the Beechmont Community Hall. Please RSVPĀ to Craig Perkins on 07 5533 3307 by 10/3/11 if you intend to come along.
