Locally Native Plant Identification & Cultivation

bcw_landcareBeechmont Landcare has arranged an Information Night on Locally Native Plant Identification & Cultivation

The night will cover the following:

  • Identification of common local plants, including a list of useful books and internet information sources.
  • What local native plants are suitable for various situations, eg. frost, wet, dry, shade, full sun.
  • Tips for cultivation of common local plants, including protection against wallabies and hares.

In addition there will be a presentation on the WILD ABOUT MACADAMIAS project which is aiming to ensure the long-term conservation of the wild populations of Macadamias.

The Information Night is on Monday 14 March 2011 from 7:30pm at the Beechmont Community Hall.
