Protestors on Peaks is a protest with a difference: a media event to show our united opposition to coal seam gas or coal mining in the Scenic Rim. Strong resistance, from our communities and those who love to visit, is needed to stop coal and gas company exploration activities progressing to full-scale production. We aim to stop the resource companies getting a foot in the Scenic Rim, or we risk the same industrialisation as can now be seen on Queensland's Darling Downs, the Hunter Valley and other areas around Australia and the world.

Celebrating Beechmont
Welcome to Zest Fest 2011!
Sunday June 26 at the Hall at Graceleigh Park, 1922 Beechmont Rd, Beechmont.
Zest Fest is a community festival that celebrates the creativity, food, and health and wellbeing of Beechmont, one South East Queensland’s most beautiful communities.
Our community is home to crafters, artists, musicians, health and wellbeing practitioners, boutique food producers and local food growers and Zest Fest is all about showcasing these enterprising people and their home-grown goods and services.
The Zest Fest logo is a fabulous image designed by Beechmont artist Anne McIntyre. Anne will be at Zest Fest 2011 selling Zest t shirts and face painting. Anne also screen printed the Zest Fest eco-friendly hemp tote bags which are for sale at Zest for only $5 each. We thank Anne for her inspiring designs and support for Zest Fest.
Zest Fest 2011 is part of Eat Local Week in the Scenic Rim.

We thank Scenic Rim Regional Council for its support of Zest Fest 2011.
