The Beechmont Business and Enterprise Network (BBEN) was formed in 2006 when a number of local businesses began meeting regularly to plan how to support the Beechmont economy and local businesses in ways that also enhanced community unity and protected our natural resources and environment. With the support of then Beaudesert Shire Council, BBEN was officially launched to the Beechmont community on 2 November 2006. In November 2008, BBEN became an incorporated community organisation with a membership base of local businesspeople.
BBEN’s mission is to support the development of a local economy that is self sustaining, robust and adaptable. Its vision is to encourage a vibrant, prosperous and united community that also protects our surrounding natural environment.
BBEN is a proactive and supportive tool for established, emerging and aspiring local businesses and community enterprises by:
The production of the Beechmont Business and Enterprise Directory (both online and in hardcopy) is central to BBEN’s activities. We are very pleased to bring to the community the details of many local businesses and enterprises to help local residents access local businesses and in this way, support our local economy by keeping the flow of skills, goodwill and money within our community where it is most needed.
BBEN thanks all the local businesses and community enterprises who have listed their details here. We also thank the Scenic Rim Regional Council for their support of the business register and BBEN through the Economic Development Section and Community Grants Program.
As per December 2012 BBEN has been integrated as a sub-committee in the Beechmont Area Progress Association Inc (BAPA)
